Hastshilp Sewa Samiti – Nurturing Talent, Preserving Heritage, Building Futures

Hastshilp Sewa Samiti is a government-registered NGO that officially came into existence in 2024—but our journey of impact began much earlier. Since 2013, a collective of passionate and nationally recognized artists has been working tirelessly across India to promote the rich legacy of Indian handicrafts while empowering children and youth through hands-on art & craft training programs.

What started as a grassroots initiative with a few artists visiting schools and community spaces has evolved into a structured movement. Today, we conduct large-scale training workshops, live demonstrations, seminars, and awareness programs in schools, colleges, residential societies, public venues, and malls. Our focus is not only on teaching the craft but also on transforming creative potential into income-generating skills.

Our Journey & Achievements

Over the past decade, we have introduced thousands of children to the world of handicrafts. Since becoming a registered organization, Hastshilp Sewa Samiti has trained over 1,000 children in a variety of traditional and contemporary craft techniques.

Many of these young learners have progressed to independently create, package, and sell their products in both offline markets and online platforms. Their success stories are a testament to the power of creativity when nurtured with the right guidance and opportunity. Some of them have begun to earn a steady income, helping their families financially and finding new purpose and direction in their lives.
